“Heron Construction solved our subsidence problem in an efficient and professional manner, importantly with minimum disruption to our trading hours.”
Project Overview
Heron Construction was asked by Mr. S. Kydd to inspect the foul drainage to the forecourt of the Service Station as there were several areas of subsidence. After Heron Construction surveyed the subsidence it was found that a manhole and runs of pipe had collapsed and that there would have to be a new manhole installed and pipework would need to be replaced. Heron Construction liaised with the Commercial Property’s Loss Assessor and between them agreed a plan and costs to carry out major work. It was arranged that the work would commence at 6.00pm on a Saturday and all excavations would be completed by Sunday at 12.00 noon.
We arranged for all materials to be purchased well before the date of work and even purchased a special manhole with all runs already formed internally. This was to speed up the work to the time allotted. The reinstatement of the forecourt tarmac and brick pavior area was completed over the next few days, leaving the owner with very little inconvenience and not having to close, which would have meant a loss of trade.
“Recently I had to contact the company who held a warranty on my home. I had noticed problems of cracking to the garage walls. The N.H.B.C sent out one of their remedial works contractors who were on their panel, Mr Harry Heron from Heron Construction. Heron Construction organised the complete project by excavating out the floor and sub-ground to allow mini piling to be carried out. Once the mini piles had been installed a new reinforced slab was poured. While this work was in progress our boiler and oil tank had to be temporarily re-sited and this was carried out without any disruption to my family and we had both heating and hot water.
The contractor, Harry Heron, provided an excellent service. When work was undertaken, he communicated with us fully, always delivered what he said he would and left a well-kept and tidy work area at our home. His staff were courteous and professional at all times. He was a pleasure to do business with.”

”In 2016 I had to get fairly major work carried out on my house as a result of subsidence and Heron Construction professionally ensured that not only the underpinning of my house was carried out to the best standard they constantly reassured me throughout the 7 months of work by keeping me up to date with progress and making me aware of any issues. Heron Construction worked tirelessly to ensure that the house was returned to me in the best possible condition not only in regards to the buildings structure but also the decor. The professional team resulted in my house now being in better condition both structurally and decoratively than it has ever been. Their flexibility resulted in reassuring me that the work was being carried out to their best ability and gave me overall confidence in what was a fairly traumatic ordeal. I would highly recommend Harry and his team.”

“We had on-going problems with our Bio Disc septic tank and the issues were causing the tank to have to be emptied on a 2-week basis.
I contacted Kingspan Klargester, the manufacturers and they recommended Heron Construction. Mr Harry Heron visited the site and was able to identify the problem right away. The tank had moved and there was a hole in the side of the tank. Harry compiled a report and I contacted our home insurance company and a loss adjustor was appointed. Only with Heron Construction’s knowledge and experience was it possible for our claim to be successful.
The removal of the damaged tank and new installation was carried out by Heron Construction with great care to our home and garden. Both my wife and I were amazed by the care and professionalism taken by Heron Construction.”
